Kyabje Dzogchen Pema Kalsang Rinpoche
Pema Kalsang Rinpoche

Kyabje Pema Kalsang Rinpoche is the third incarnation of Great Khenpo Pema Banza. He was the twelfth throne holder of Dzogchen Monastery for over forty years, from the age of fourteen. He was trained before the communist takeover and is one of the few surviving masters from this unique time. Kyabje Rinpoche is responsible for reconstructing Dzogchen Monastery and Shira Sing Buddhist University. He is also the founder of Dzogchen Pema Tung Great Perfection Retreat Centre and has restored the teachings of the Dzogchen tradition. Kyabje Rinpoche is the main holder of the closest Dzogchen lineage in the world and he gives regular teachings, empowerments and transmissions. He has recognised over forty tulkus of the younger generation and is the root guru to tens of thousands of Tibetans, Chinese, and Western students. Kyabje Rinpoche spends much of his time in retreat and teaching, and is the author of several published texts.

The Fifth Mura Rinpoche Tenzin Kachab Dorje

Mura Rinpoche  is considered to be an emanation of Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of Compassion. His fifth incarnation, Tenzin Kachab Dorje, was recognised by His Holiness and he is a throne holder of Gelong Monastery in Dzachuka. He is a graduate of Shira Sing Buddhist University and an Assistant Director. He has also studied in the great Gelug monastery of Drepung in Lhasa and has a great mastery of the scriptures. Mura Rinpoche is the Director of Dzogchen Pema Tung Great Perfection Retreat Centre, and is fluent in both English and Chinese. He acts as Kyabje Pema Kalsang Rinpoche's personal assistant and interpreter, and also manages the community aid projects of the Kalsang Foundation. He has completed construction of a large temple complex, as well as restoring and enlarging the famous Mura Mani wall, one of the most ancient and largest collections of mani carvings in the world.
